RENOLIT does the Wave

The place to be in Ostend for fresh fish is undoubtedly the "Vistrap". Fish straight off the boats. What used to be real steps ("trap") from and to the fishing boats, is now an indoor fish market. The building, however, was no longer conforming to the food hygiene requirements and was really outdated. By the end of last year, the building was razed to the ground and replaced by a modern, clean building. And it looks great. Blue and wavy...definitely a building with a nod to the sea.

The wavy roof was made perfectly watertight using RENOLIT ALKORPLAN membranes. An excellent solution thanks to the flexibility of the RENOLIT products. Besides, the diversity of the RENOLIT colours has always been that special something to influence customers to give their project a personal touch.
The flat roof on top of the two pavilions was covered with 400 m² of the white RENOLIT ALKORBRIGHT F membrane, the roofing membrane with a high solar reflection. Both roofing membranes have a special protective coating, which offer a kind of sun-block to protect them against both ageing and colour fading.
After all, quite important for an eye-catching visible roof at a popular tourist spot...
