The RENOLIT ALKORBRIGHT membrane is completely white all the way through, maximising the solar reflection.

Conclusion:

roofing membranes with a white surface have a high solar reflection rate
roofing membranes with a white surface but with dark (black, grey) under layers lose a big part or their solar reflection.
