RENOLIT ALKORBRIGHT
Temperature measurement
A study shows that the surface temperatures of roofs covered with black or grey roofing membranes differ strongly with the roof temperatures of an alkorbright roof. The difference in temperature is approximately 59% which in this study means that the RENOLIT ALKORBRIGHT membrane measured 45°C cooler than the black membrane on the same roof.
The conclusion:
The RENOLIT ALKORBRIGHT becomes less hot and gives less warmth back to the environment.
The RENOLIT ALKORBRIGHT membrane is subjected to less temperature variations. (less stress is advantageous for the membrane)
Also :
If the roofing surface is cooler, the temperature inside the building will remain more constant. The outside temperatures having a lower impact. (attention: the insulation, and windows will always have a greater impact.)
The cooler roof surface also means that PV-modules installed on the roof will have a better output (photovoltaic modules have less output when the temperature goes up).

Infra-red camera demonstrates that the alkorbright membrane becomes less hot. The red spot on the alkorbright membrane is directly affected from the heat of the grey membrane |
